Tennessee Cheesecake donates 10% of sales to Second Harvest

Are you looking for the PERFECT Thanksgiving dessert? Look no further than Tennessee Cheesecake. Their cheesecakes are delicious and they even have a pumpkin cheesecake for the season – with a “giving back” twist. See the details below from their Web site.

Tennessee Cheesecake

Football season is in full swing, the leaves are beginning to turn… and the aroma of pumpkin and spice is filling the air at Tennessee Cheesecake.

Since 1996, we’ve been celebrating fall by swirling our original cheesecake into a classic pumpkin cheesecake. The result is a fabulous handmade dessert that has everything you love about pumpkin pie – and more. Our pumpkin cheesecake features the perfect balance of spice (just a hint!), the sweetness of pumpkin, and our signature creamy filling. And when you add it all to our honey-graham-pecan crust? Simply put, it’s a slice of heaven.

This year, Tennessee Cheesecake will donate ten percent of proceeds from pumpkin cheesecake sales to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee – now through Christmas, at our bakery in West Nashville, or through online ordering.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee’s mission is to feed hungry people and work to solve hunger issues in our community. Every dollar donated to Second Harvest provides four meals to hungry men, women and children in our community. Learn more about Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

Artclectic 2009

I purchased the piece on the lower left for my sister for her high school graduation in May.

I wasn’t planning on attending this art festival this weekend, but then I found out that my one of my sister’s favorite artists (Dolan Geiman) will be there. She’s really gotten me into his work and so I may just have to stop by and peruse his goodies. Check out the schedule of events for Artclectic as well as the artist lineup.

Gabe and crew will open for The Coal Men at Exit/In tomorrow at 9 p.m. If you haven’t heard Gabriel Kelley & The Reins, check ‘em out now. They’re awesome. Wish I could make it for this show, but a certain friend with a birthday insists upon The Stage after dinner. Oh goodness.

Ref’s E-Mail Address

Hmmm…I received an e-mail today with the work e-mail address of the referee who made the AWFUL call against my Bulldawgs in the LSU game that potentially lost the game for us. I don’t have the nerve (or the rude-factor) to contact him, but maybe someone else does: marc@bridgeworthfinancial.com.

Go Dawgs!

Dave Matthews Channel

I’m not a huge Dave Matthews Band fan, but I enjoy their stuff – especially when doing something that needs background music. I’ve discovered their AOL Radio Channel and it’s great background tunes. Can’t really use it at work much since it clogs the server…but every once-in-awhile.

Gentry’s Farm (Franklin, Tenn.)

I had two acquaintances post updates on their Facebook last weekend about seeing Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman at Gentry’s Farm in Franklin. Figures. That’s what I get for not pumpkin-hunting early enough! I hope to give this farm a shot sometime this weekend.
